I was just loading a set of batteries into the recharger when I noticed that they have the word "DIGITAL" prominently emblazoned upon them. Since when have we needed to distinguish between digital batteries and analogue ones?
This, of course, isn't the first time that I've seen items of camera ephemera illogically branded as "DIGITAL" I've seen UV filters sold as "digital", camera bags and even tripods. It gets worse if you try to fathom just why the trend-whores in the marketing departments would choose to do this there must be a small but significant portion of humanity that are damn-fool enough to fall for it.
And that is a sad thought.
It's like spam we all hate it but it works. Maybe not on you and me, but it works. If it didn't work, they wouldn't do it. Which means that there are people out there who actually buy knock-off viagra, penis enhancement treatments and believe that they can "get ripped in four weeks".
What a world.
